Part 1: When You Stop Breathing
When a woman’s body was discovered partially undressed, strangled, and abandoned near the Green River in Washington, it was quickly assumed she had been yet another victim of the Green River Killer. Thankfully, witnesses came forward and gave accurate accounts of what happened to Barbara Jean Hegadorn that night. That information led to the arrest of a man who wasn’t the Green River killer, but a man who was out on parole for another violent attack. This is the story of Barbara Jean Hegadorn.

Part 2: The Dream Has Never Changed
Last week I spoke about perpetrator, rapist and murderer Bruce Bradley Bushey. This week, we aren’t talking about him, but about his victims Barbara and her son Patrick. In different ways, Barbara and Patrick both lost their lives to the same man.
Today I’ll talk with Patrick about what he remembers of his mother and the chaos surrounding her death. He’ll talk about how it shaped the way reacted as a teen and how he’s turned into a helper as an adult.
